Schedule & Location

Four-month programs begin in January, May, and September and are held in the Seattle, Washington area.

Weekend classes can accommodate working professionals and out-of-town participants. The Individual and Group Tracks are combined for the first two months and then separate in the third. It is possible to enroll in both tracks during the same trimester since the third month is scheduled on different days.

Month #1 (two days)

• Immersion in the Cycle of Change model
• Theory behind the model
• Communication skills

Month #2 (two days)

• Assessment skills
• Application: role plays, case studies
• Ethics

Month #3 (two days)

• Individual Track: Advanced assessment, communication, and application of the Cycle of Change with individuals (day one)
• Group Track: Facilitation and application of the Cycle within a group setting (day one)
• Both Tracks: Evaluation by panel (day two)

Month #4 Internship

• Six hours of individually-tailored coaching and supervision. If you reside out of the Seattle area, this is done via audio or videotapes.
