What do we mean by "renewal"?
What do we provide that makes Centerpoint unique? It's renewal! Renewal is a natural process that leads to two things:
- A compelling new vision of the life you want to live, and
- Renewed energy and enthusiasm for building that dream.
We can assist you in gracefully navigating the process of change toward work and a lifestyle that expresses your personal values and priorities.
Many people come to us just to brush up on interviewing skills or to polish a resume. They already have a clear vision and want help with the "how" of finding a new job. Others, though, are in need of renewal before work and life can really come alive again. This time of transition can be frightening and disorienting territory. We can help those who are looking for a deeper commitment to a more fulfilling career and life. We also assist those seeking to change the balance in their lives-- to make more room for aspects of their lives which are thirsty for attention, time and energy. We offer more than just skills assessment and job search techniques, we coach our clients to build exciting new lives.
It all comes from a clear vision and the energy and enthusiasm that this vision generates. From this foundation, the "how to" techniques and practical next steps flow more naturally and easily.

Do I have to be a member to attend workshops?
No. Members enjoy reduced rates for workshops and may attend the Weekly Job Search Clinic and Career Forums at no cost. Members may peruse the job listings and borrow books, tapes and other materials from the LifeWork Resource Center. Go to Membership for more information.
- How many people are usually in a workshop?
We keep classes small enough so that every participant can receive individual attention. The maximum number for each workshop varies depending on the topic. For example, here's the maximum enrollment for four of our core services.
- LifeWork Renewal -- maximum 15
- Passion Search -- maximum 6
- Exploring Options -- maximum 10
- The Retreat -- maximum 5 participants for each facilitator up to a total of 10
- Do you have any workshops outside the Seattle area?
By special arrangement at company sites we can travel where ever there is a need for our corporate services. If you live outside the area, you should consider attending The Retreat, which draws participants from all over the US and Canada. You can also arrange for telephone consultations with one of our experienced career counselors. Go to Individual Career Counseling for more information.
- If I sign up for a future workshop and I have to cancel, can I reschedule?
If you enroll in a workshop and then are unable to attend, please contact Centerpoint at least five working days prior to the workshop. We will issue you a credit good for six months which you can apply towards any other Centerpoint workshop or service. If you cancel less than five working days before, you will be charged for the class. Of course, you'll receive a full refund if we have to cancel a class.
- If I send in my registration, will I get a confirmation of enrollment?
After we receive your registration form and tuition, we will confirm your attendance by telephone or mail three business days prior to the workshop date. Your confirmation also includes location specifics and directions. All of our classes (except The Retreat) are held in Building D at our Talaris location or nearby.
